Enes Efendioğlu

Dr. Enes EFENDİOĞLU

Enes is a Medical Doctor from Turkey with a main focus in public health, specifically in the field of adolescent and youth health.

He is the founder of the Civil Life Association, a national youth-led NGO from Turkey with a consultative status to the UN.

He is a board member of the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health of the World Health Organization and the vice president of the International Youth Health Organization (YHO).

In 2019 he was selected by the Forbes Magazine as a member of the "30 Under 30", which brings the most successful and young leaders globally together.

He enjoys making new ideas alive, working in international groups and calls himself a ’Doer.’

Hakan Ekinci

Hakan EKİNCİ

Hakan is a social worker, who specifically conducts studies related to the inclusion of immigrant groups.

He is the president of the Civil Life Association, a national youth-led NGO from Turkey with a consultative status at the UN.

Hakan enjoys working with youth groups and motivates young people to participate in various volunteering projects.

Serap DOĞANSOY

Serap is an undergraduate student of Political Science at the University of Lyon. Additionally, she conducts academic research, and is interested in youth participation in politics.

She is actively involved in several volunteering projects and identifies herself as a youth worker. Serap aims to contribute to young individuals’ decision-making processes and encourage them to be more active in leadership positions.

Serap believes that with the right support, young people possess the energy needed to contribute to civil society.

Saltuk Buğrahan grew up in Bregenz, Vorarlberg and studied Transcultural Communication at the University of Vienna.

He loves travelling, which helps him a lot to develop the languages he speaks and explore new cultures. As a translator and interpreter of English, German, Spanish and Turkish he works in different fields.

Voluntary projects are always a part of his life. Thus, he always motivates young people to spend their freetime actively and wisely.

Hasan Sami ÖZTÜRK

Hasan Sami ÖZTÜRK

Hasan spent his adolescent years in Turkey, and completed his undergraduate studies at Yıldız Technical University in Istanbul. As an undergraduate student, he was interested in entrepreneurship and economic development, and sought to enhance his knowledge and skill set in this manner. He has been an active participant in the Istanbul Muncipality Youth Parliament, as well as the Turkish Youth Foundation (TÜGVA), contributing to various projects.

Hasan spent his adolescent years in Turkey, and completed his undergraduate studies at Yıldız Technical University in Istanbul. As an undergraduate student, he was interested in entrepreneurship and economic development, and sought to enhance his knowledge and skill set in this manner. He has been an active participant in the Istanbul Muncipality Youth Parliament, as well as the Turkish Youth Foundation (TÜGVA), contributing to various projects.

As someone that has lived in several capital cities, and been to more than twenty countries, Hasan enjoys travelling, photography, and most importantly, facilitating collaboration between individuals with diverse backgrounds, and uniting them in various projects.

Elife is a Dietician Nutritionist and future Project Manager in Public Health. She carried out many interventions for health promotion and disease prevention and is particularly interested in social inequalities in health. Elife has a passion for discovery and is eager to learn more. She wants to carry out creative and innovative projects to reduce social inequalities.

Sadia Rania Mohiuddin

Sadia Rania Mohiuddin

Rania has completed her undergraduate studies at the Department of War Studies at King’s College London. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Sociology and Global Change at the University of Edinburgh.

She has volunteered in several projects, and led multiple student societies in the cities she has been in.

Her interests lie in gender equality and education. The diverse environment she has been part of from a young age, has served to reaffirm her belief in bringing about positive change through collaboration and collective efforts.

Hale BİLİR

Hale is a social worker with a special focus on youth and groups. She is currently looking at understanding and contributing to youth welfare as part of her work in civil society.

She has volunteered in several projects, and taken an executive role in projects such as “Görev Bende”- focusing on addiction, and “Çekirdek Eğitim Programı”- a programme seeking to further youth involvement in civil society.

Hale is a firm advocate of the power of civil society, and youth’s activist spirit, and believes that this is what will enable social engagement and integration.

Latife ÖZDEMİR

Latife Özdemir grew up in Lahey, Netherlands. She is currently studying Law at Bahçeşehir University.

She enjoys travelling, reading, and writing articles in English and Flemish. Latife is currently a Senior Intern at Politics Today. Her primary interests relate to international criminal law, human rights and forced migration.

As someone that has seen various corners of the world from a young age, and been part of a very diverse environment, Latife aims to conduct projects focusing on injustices in refugee and migration policies.

Elif is a Turkology graduate from the University of Inalco Sorbonne. She is currently an executive assistant and Turkish teacher at an academic institution.

She has been volunteering with various civil society organizations since 2016. She enjoys travelling and taking part in projects that contribute to society.

Elif’s greatest mission is to raise and inspire a generation that is conscious of their values, open-minded, and not hesitant to take leadership positions.

Aycan ÖKSÜZ

Aycan grew up in Stuttgart, Germany, and is currently an undergraduate student in the Turkish-German Law joint programme between the University of Cologne and Altinbas University.

She has volunteered in several projects in Cologne, and been an active participant in multiple student and civil society groups.

Aycan hopes to pursue Law in order to become a motivated defendant justice, primarily in the fields of Human Rights, and Information and Trade Law.

Fatma AÇAR

Fatma has completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Tolouse 1 Capitole, studying Law. She is currently a postgraduate student at Sciences Po Grenoble, researching Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Integration and Change.

Human rights, diplomacy, and geopolitics are some of the global issues that interest Fatma, who aims to work as part of an international environment. Aware of the contributions of volunteering to individuals and society as a whole, she volunteers as an Editor as part of various non-governmental organizations.
